Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) terminates its cooperation with international organizations – International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) and International Coordinating Council of Employers’ Unions (ICCEU).
These organizations remained on the sidelines and did not show any signs of protest against military aggression and immoral war against Ukraine launched by the Russian Federation with the close assistance of the Republic of Belarus. LPK strongly condemns the unprovoked aggression of Russia and Belarus against Ukraine, which violates rules-based world order, threatens the security of whole Europe, targets attacks on civilians in Ukraine by not making distinctions regarding women and children. Russia, in violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty, disregards fundamental provisions of international law that are incompatible with the principles of peace and security. In addition to other consequences that are devastating the Ukrainian state and its society, Russia’s illegal actions are creating flows of millions of refugees.
